The State Procurement Board's (Board) "Targeted Procurement Training Program" has been developed to provide an opportunity to grow your understanding and skills in procurement. The 2020 Targeted Procurement Training Program will consist of up to 16 different workshops between February to June, delivered by expert presenters and supported by contemporary workbooks and practical examples. The 2020 Face to Face Course Guide (which includes the training calendar) can be found here. Training from July onwards will be scheduled once the outcome of the SA Productivity Commission Government Procurement Inquiry is known.
These courses will help you plan procurements or manage procurements more effectively; improve your negotiation skills; or increase your commercial awareness. Whether you are an experienced procurement practitioner wanting to refresh your knowledge or whether you are looking to expand your skill set in a new area, there is something for everyone.
Registrations and payments can be made at https://shop.service.sa.gov.au/dtf-spb/ (this link must be accessed via Google Chrome) using your agency's corporate credit card; alternative payment arrangements can be made by contacting the Board's Capability team on 8463 3678. Please ensure you have your Manager's approval to participate.
Unfortunately, due to the unforseen impacts of COVID-19, we have been required to cancel ALL training and postpone any upcoming events.
We will provide details about future training opportunities and events when possible. You are encouraged to review our suite of online training courses to determine if any may be a suitable training alternative in the interim.

Each customer will need to set up an account (this needs to be done once only) you can then proceed to purchasing a course(s); the system will provide prompts from clicking on the course icon through to adding item(s) to the cart and proceeding to making the payment. When you have created your customer account, payment has been made and your order placed, you will receive three emails confirming your actions and the last email confirms the order placed and will have an invoice attached.

A confirmation email containing the training venue details and workbooks will be sent to all participants prior to the commencement of all courses by the Capability Development team.
Extended Face to Face Course Guide
The workshops on the published targeted training calendar contain some, but not all, of the targeted training workshops on offer by the Board’s providers. From time to time an agency may wish to book a training session exclusively for its own agency staff – either from the training calendar or from the wider range of workshops options available under the contract. The Face to Face Course Guide has been designed to give you an overview of the procurement face to face training courses available to agencies.
